BASF to Hike Prices for Wet End Paper Chemicals in North America

Jan. 4, 2011 - BASF said that it will increase prices of sizing chemicals, colorants, and polymers for strength, fixation, and water management, for wet end paper chemicals sold into the North American paper market, effective Jan.15, 2011 or as contracts allow.

The price increases range from 5 to 15 percent, depending upon the product, BASF said.

The price hike is necessary to offset raw material cost increases, BASF added.
