U.S. Consumption of Recovered Paper Increased in October

Nov. 23, 2010 - Total U.S. industry consumption of recovered paper was 2.65 million tons, 5% higher than October of last year and 1% higher than last month.

According to the American Forest & Paper Association's (AF&PA) October 2010 Recovered Paper Monthly Report, the U.S. consumed 8% more recovered paper in the first 10 months of 2010 than during the same period last year.

The U.S. exported 3% less recovered paper in September than in August. Year-to-date exports of recovered paper are down 2% compared to the same months last year.
