Appleton's West Carrollton Mill Back to Full Production
Aug. 6, 2010 - Appleton said that its paper mill in West Carrollton, Ohio has returned to full production following repair work and the installation of temporary boilers to address damage caused by the collapse of some internal structures of a coal silo at the mill.
The incident occurred on July 10 and caused no injuries, Appleton said.
Portions of the mill returned to production on July 12 and continued to operate while repairs were underway, the company added.
Production of some of the carbonless and thermal paper products produced at the West Carrollton mill was shifted to the company's manufacturing facilities in Appleton, Wisconsin and Roaring Spring, Pennsylvania.
Appleton produces carbonless, thermal and security papers and Encapsys® products. The company is 100 percent employee-owned.
