Metso to Build New Equipment/Service Facilities in Brazil

July 21, 2010 - Metso said that it has plans to build new equipment facilities in Araucaria, Parana state, in southeastern Brazil which will service the pulp and paper and power generation industries.

Metso will invest about EUR 14 million during the first phase of the project and expects to make additional investments over time that will increase the capacity and capabilities of the new facilities.

The new facilities in Araucaria will provide new equipment sales and include a service workshop, Metso said. The unit will be operational by the end of 2011.

When the new facilities are ready Metso said that it will move all activities from the current leased facilities in Curitiba, located approx. 10 km from the new site.
