First Quality Tissue to Install 2nd New TAD Tissue Machine at SC Site

June 28, 2010 - First Quality Tissue said that it has finalized details for the purchase of a second Thru-Air-Dried (TAD) tissue machine to be installed at the company's new mill in Anderson, South Carolina.

First Quality expects the new PM 4 to become operational by the third quarter of 2012.

Currently, the company is in the process of installing PM 3, which is under construction at the Anderson site and is scheduled to start-up in August of 2011.

In July 2009, First Quality announced plans to build an additional tissue/towel manufacturing facility, and in May 2010 said that it had selected Anderson, SC as the site.

First Quality currently operates two other TAD machines at its tissue mill in Lock Haven, Pennsylvania.

The installation of the new third and fourth machines will double First Quality's annual capacity to approximately 300,000 tons per year.
