June 21, 2010 - Smurfit-Stone Container has appointed John Knudsen as senior vice president for Supply Chain and Board Sales.

Knudsen has more than 24 years of experience in sales and operations management in the packaging industry. He joined Smurfit-Stone in 1986 and has served in a variety of management and executive management roles for the company, including senior vice president of manufacturing Container division; vice president of strategic planning; vice president and regional manager of the Container division; and vice president of manufacturing engineering.
