China Imports of Pulp Down in May
June 10, 2010 - China in May imported 840,000 tons of pulp, down 36% compared to May 2009, said China's General Administration of Customs.
In the first five months of 2010 (Jan-May), China imported 4.74 million tons of pulp, down 16% from the same period last year.
Paper and Board
China imported 300,000 tons of paper and paperboard in May, up 3.4%.
In the first five months of 2010, China imported 1.47 million tons, up 22% compared to the same period in last year, Customs said.
