U.S. Boxboard Production Increased in March
April 20, 2010 - According to the American Forest & Paper Association’s March 2010 Boxboard Report, total U.S. boxboard production increased by 64,000 tons, or 6.0%, compared to March 2009.
When compared to the preceeding month, boxboard production in March increased by 7.5%. However, the average daily production was down 2.5%, AF&PA said.
Additional key findings from the report include:
- Solid Bleached Folding production was up over last year
- Unbleached Kraft Folding posted a decrease over February 2009
- Recycled Folding production increased as well over prior year
