Poyry Awarded Engineering Contract For New Pulp Mill in Brazil

March 31, 2010 - The Finnish engineering firm Poyry said that it has been awarded a contract from Eldorado Celulose e Papel Ltda, Brazil, for pre-engineering and preparatory work for mill infrastructure for a 1.5 million tons per year bleached eucalyptus kraft pulp mill to be built in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil.

The value of Pöyry's contract is about EUR 7.5 million.

Start up of the Real 2.9 billion ($1.7 billion) market pulp mill is expected by 2012-2013.
