Pulp Imports to China Up Slightly in December

Feb. 10, 2010 - China in December 2009 imported one million metric tons of pulp, an increase of 40,000 m/tons compared to November 2009, according to China's General Administration of Customs.

For the year (Jan. - Dec. 2009), pulp imports rose 44% or 13.68 million tons, versus 2008.

Paper and Paperboard
China also imported 310,000 tons of paper and paperboard in December, and increase of 40,000 tons over November figures.

In 2009, paper and paperboard imports descreased 6% to 3.31 million tons compared to2008, the Administration said.
