February 5, 2010 - BASF said that it will increase its prices for wet end paper chemicals sold into the North American paper market from 5 to 15 percent, depending upon the product.

The price increase is effective Feb. 15 or as contract terms allow, BASF said.

The company cited rising raw material and energy costs as underlying factors behind the price hike.
