SFK Making Additional Repairs to Pulp Mill
Dec. 14, 2009 - SFK Pulp Fund said that is extending a scheduled maintenance shut-down at its Saint Felicien (Quebec) pulp mill for ten additional days to perform work related to a breakdown of the mill's recovery boiler.
Production of NBSK pulp is scheduled to resume by December 22, SFK said.
SFK said the extra downtime will remove an additional 10,000 tonnes of NBSK pulp from production in the fourth quarter.
The cost of the additional repairs will be covered by SFK's insurance, the company added.
