Dec. 14, 2009 - Botnia said that it will increase the price of NBSK (Northern Bleached Softwood Kraft) pulp in Europe by US $30 per tonne, effective January 1.

The increase moves Botnia's price from $800 to $830 per tonne, CIF at Botnia's usual European ports.

The price of NBSK pulp in Europe has risen sharply since the end of March 2009, when its average price was about US $575 per tonne — the lowest reported price in 2009.
