Oct. 28, 2009 - Ahlstrom said that it will increase pricing on its filter media products for transportation and specialty filtration

The maker of high performance nonwovens and specialty papers said the price hikes are a consequence of the rise of raw material costs.

The price increase will affect filtration grades produced by Ahlstrom globally, sold for transportation and specialty filtration applications, and will be effective as of January 1, 2010.

Increases will vary and range up to 10% depending on the markets, the constituents of the products, and the structure of the customer agreements in place, Ahlstrom said.
