AF&PA Names Erik Heilman to Government Affairs Post
Oct. 21, 2009 - The American Forest & Paper Association (AF&PA) said that Erik Heilman has been named a Director of AF&PA Government Affairs. Heilman will be responsible for promoting AF&PA’s policy positions on Capitol Hill for climate change, tax and trade issues.
Heilman comes to AF&PA with an extensive knowledge of international trade and the legislative process developed in both the legislative and executive branches of the federal government. He previously served in the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative, the Department of Commerce and both the U.S. House and Senate. He has also worked on transportation and appropriations issues.
Heilman earned his BA from the University of Colorado at Boulder and his MS from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
