Oct. 7, 2009 - Producers of LWC (lightweight coated) in Germany face a continued tough market as sustained “turbulent times” is the forecast, according to EUWID.

EUWID polled German players on their outlook for the LWC market and the overall response indicated the fourth quarter will offer brief relief, but on the whole the picture is certainly not rosy and all producers will have to prepare for a difficult 2010.

At the moment, buyers see themselves at an advantage as prices are obviously under fire, EUWID said.

EUWID also noted that in the offset segment, contract business is “mutating into daily business featuring all kinds of prices.”
