Ahlstrom to Increase Prices for Specialty Grades
Oct. 1, 2009 - Ahlstrom today announced price increases on all of its specialty paper grades — a result of rising costs for raw material and energy.
Prices for all paper grades will increase by EUR 50-100/ton depending on the nature of the products, regions, existing contracts and invoicing currencies, Ahstrom said.
Effective dates and detailed actions will be discussed with customers through the appropriate business teams, the company added.
Ahlstrom's Specialty Papers segment has production sites in Brazil (Jacarei), France (Bousbecque, La Gere, Pont-Audemer, Rottersac, Saint-Severin and Stenay), Germany (Osnabrück and Altenkirchen), Finland (Kauttua), Italy (Turin) and USA (West Carrollton).
Price increases for crepe papers, which are part of the Ahlstrom Specialty Papers segment, were announced on September 4, 2009 and will not be affected by this announcement, Ahlstrom noted.
