Thiele Makes Representation Change For China

Aug. 10, 2009 - Thiele Kaolin Company said that effective October 1, 2009, Shiraishi Calcium Kaisha, Ltd., which has a subsidiary company in Shanghai, will take over as sales agent and distributor of Thiele’s product line in the Chinese market.

“Thiele Kaolin Company is proud to have Shiraishi Calcium Kaisha, Ltd. represent us in the dynamic Chinese paper market,” said Randy Mayberry, Thiele’s Director of International Sales. “Together we look forward to establishing the same type of partnership model for the Chinese market that has guided our successful business relationship in the Japanese market.”

The two companies have enjoyed a long and prosperous history together, as Shiraishi has represented Thiele’s paper clay products in Japan for more than 40 years.

“We appreciate the work that Gateway Holding Co., Ltd. has done for us in the Chinese market the past three years and wish them continued success,” added Mr. Mayberry. “However, the time has come to further our business in this market, and we feel that partnering with Shiraishi Calcium Kaisha, Ltd. will help us accomplish this goal.”
