Myllykoski Taking LWC Downtime at Plattling Mill

Aug. 6, 2009 - Myllykoski said that it is taking market related downtime on PM 10 in Plattling, Germany to adjust LWC production to actual paper demand.

The PM 10 production line, which has an annual capacity to produce 150,000 tons of wood-containing coated papers, was indefinitely idled at the end of July.

Regular orders are being taken care of by other Myllykoski production lines, Myllykoski said.

Myllykoski said it will continue to monitor market conditions and if necessary take further downtime and/or temporary curtailments within the groupís coated machines.

The Plattling mill has an annual capacity to produce 350,000 tons LWC papers.
