Aug. 6, 2009 - Total U.S. containerboard paper production was flat in June compared to June 2008, according to the American Forest & Paper Association's June 2009 U.S. Containerboard Statistics Report.

However, total production in June rose 144,400 tons or 5.5% when compared to May.

Linerboard production rose 1.8% when compared to June 2008. Also, linerboard’s production for June was up 6.4% over May.

Medium production also rose, posting a 3.2% increase when compared to May 2009, but decreased by 6.3% over June 2008.
