August 3, 2009 - Botnia said that it has increased pulp prices in Europe and China, effective August 1.

In Europe, Botnia has boosted the price of NBSK (Northern Bleached Softwood Kraft) from US $660/ton to $690/ton. In addition, Bleached Eucalyptus and Bleached Birch Kraft is now $560 from a previous price of $530..

In China, for all new business, NBSK is now $600/ton and Eucalyptus is $500/ton net.
