May 20, 2009 - Total containerboard paper production decreased 15.7% in April compared to April 2008, according to the American Forest & Paper Association's April 2009 U. S. Containerboard Statistics Report.

However, total containerboard paper production was down 1.0% in April 2009 when compared to March 2009, AF&PA said.

Linerboard production was down from last April. Linerboard production fell 17.0% when compared to April, 2008. Linerboard's production was flat when compared to March 2009.

Medium production fell slightly over last month. Medium production fell 1.5% when compared to March 2009, and decreased by 12.2% over April 2008.
