German Recycled Containerboard Makers Face Price Cut
April 15, 2009 - In Germany, recycled corrugated case material prices appear to be under pressure again after experiencing a brief period of stability, says EUWID in Germany.
According to EUWID, German manufacturers have insisted that they do not want to lower their prices for recycled containerboard, but price talks at the end of March tended to revolve around another reduction rather than the planned hike.
EUWID said several of its sources say that a price cut has already been achieved in some instances.
The month of April may be an indicator whether or not German manufacturers will have will have to live with another price cut in its entirety and for the long run, EUWID said.
