SP Newsprint Schedules Downtime at Newberg, OR Mill
Feb. 11, 2009 - SP Newsprint Co., LLC today said that it will take market-related downtime at its mill in Newberg, Oregon.
The mill will be down from February 20 through March 8, removing about 20,000 metric tons of newsprint production.
SP said that it has adequate inventories to ensure that its customers will not experience any service interruptions during the shut-down.
SP Newsprint Co., LLC is the fourth largest newsprint manufacturer in North America, with approximately 900,000 metric tons of newsprint production capacity. SP Newsprint operates mills in Dublin, Georgia and Newberg, Oregon and operates 23 recycling facilities through its subsidiary, SP Recycling
