Thiele to Increase Price for Kaolin Products
Nov. 14, 2008 - Thiele Kaolin Company today announced that it will implement a price increase on kaolin products for all markets, effective January 1, 2009.
The amount of the increase will vary depending on the grade of kaolin, with the price of some grades increasing by 10%, Thiele said.
“Significant increases in the cost of power, chemicals and transportation require a general increase in prices in 2009,” said Eric Tillirson, vice president of Sales and Marketing for Thiele.
“Programs aimed at reducing operating costs at Thiele continue, including efforts to reduce energy related expenditures and other operational efficiency initiatives,” Tillirson added.
