Giardini Named President of Weyerhaeuser Company Ltd.
Oct. 8, 2008 - Weyerhaeuser Company said that Anne Giardini has been named president of the companyís Canadian subsidiary, Weyerhaeuser Company Limited.
Giardini succeeds Craig Neeser, who retired from Weyerhaeuser effective Oct. 1.
Giardini will continue to be based in Vancouver, BC.
Giardini joined Weyerhaeuser in 1994 as legal counsel and served as assistant general counsel before becoming vice president and general counsel in 2006. She holds a bachelorís degree in economics from Simon Fraser University, a law degree from the University of British Columbia, and a masterís degree in law from Trinity Hall at the University of Cambridge in England. Giardini is licensed to practice law in both British Columbia and Ontario and has been admitted to practice as an in-house counsel in the State of Washington.
An author and journalist, Giardini was a columnist for Canadaís National Post for several years.
