June 13, 2008 - Kemira said that it will significantly increase prices, globally, across its entire product portfolio, effective June 16.

The increases in some cases may exceed 25%, Kemira said, and will reflect the higher manufacturing costs on a geographical basis.

"Costs for raw materials, energy and transportation have continued to increase, and no relief is expected in the near future," said Harri Kerminen, president and CEO of Kemira.

Price hikes will vary by product, Kemira added.
