Jan. 17, 2008 - Caraustar Industriessaid that it will increase prices on all paperboard-based converted products by 8%, effective with shipments on and after February 18.

"These increases are driven by higher fiber and energy costs, which remain near historic highs and are anticipated to continue to climb," said Steven L. Kelchen, vice president, Converted Products Group. "While Caraustar continues to streamline its processes to gain operating and other efficiencies, they alone cannot keep pace with these rising costs."
