Voith to Deliver P&W Paper Machine to India

Dec.14, 2007 - Voith Paper said that it will supply West Coast Paper Mills with a new printing and writing paper production line for its integrated pulp and paper mill in Dandeli, Karnataka, India.

The new paper machine, PM 6, will have an operating speed of 1,200 m/min, a wire width of 5,850 mm, and produce paper in a basis weight range of 45 to 90 g/m2, Voith said.

Annual production capacity of PM 6 will be about 130,000 metric tons per year, Voith added.

Start up is planned for May of 2009.

West Coast Paper Mills Ltd., one of India's largest paper manufacturers, produces a variety of paper and board grades on five paper machines at its mill in Dandeli, Karnataka, India. The mill also has a pulp making operation.
