Metso to Deliver Uncoated Fine Paper Machine to China
Dec. 13, 2007 - Metso Paper said it will supply an uncoated fine paper machine to MCC Paper Yinhe Co., Ltd. in Linqing city of Shandong Province, China.
The exact value of the deal was not disclosed, but Metso said this type of paper machine order is in the EUR 50 million range..
The delivery will include a complete paper machine from headbox to reel, with related air systems. The new machine, which will have a wire width of 5.8 m and a design speed of 1,400 m/min, will produce around 200,000 tonnes of uncoated fine papers annually.
Start-up is slated for the third quarter of 2009.
MCC Paper Yinhe is a state-owned company operating two mills in Linqing city with around 6,000 employees. The company was originally founded 1958 and joined MCC in August 2007. MCC (China Metallurgical Group Corporation) is one of the largest equipment manufacturers in China.
