Cascades in Talks to Sell French Deinking Mill
Dec. 3, 2007 - Cascades said that it is in talks with Argowiggins regarding the sale of its Greenfield S.A.S. deinking mill in Chateau-Thierry, France.
"The possible sale of Greenfield S.A.S. is in keeping with our strategic directions since there are few opportunities to integrate the production of this mill," said Alain Lemaire, president and CEO of Cascades.
The companies hope to strike a deal by the beginning of 2008.
The Greenfield mill has an annual capacity of 140,000 tonnes of high-end recycled pulp.
