Metso Paper's Leo Allo Dies After Surgical Procedure
Nov. 7, 2007 - Leo Allo, Senior Vice President, Communications for Metso Paper died on Sunday, November 4 after experiencing complications during a surgical procedure at the Meilahti Hospital in Helsinki. He was 61.
Leo was part of Valmet Paper Machinery and Metso Paper from the start of the company. In 1987, as an experienced journalist and communicator, he became responsible for marketing and communications of the newly established Valmet Paper Machinery, and held various positions in marketing and communications ever since. In the most recent years, he focused mainly on Metso Paper's press relations with the global pulp and paper press.
Leo was highly respected and well liked among his colleagues at Metso and throughout the global paper industry, especially the trade press.
