Oct. 15, 2007 - IMERYS Pigments for Paper said that it will raise global kaolin prices for its pigments for paper product lines effective December 1, 2007 as contracts allow.

Kaolins manufactured in the U.S. and Brazil, including calcined products, will increase by an average of 12%. Energy surcharges will remain in effect for all kaolin products, IMERYS said.

Significant cost pressures in logistics, chemicals, mining, fuel, and power have forced the price increase, IMERYS added.
