Oct. 5, 2007 - Fraser Papers yesterday said that it would take market-related downtime on the No. 6 paper machine at its East Papers operations, effective October 6.

The decision to temporarilty idle the machine will allow the mill to manage inventory levels of uncoated groundwood papers, the company said.

Fraser expects the shutdown to last foe about two weeks, dependent on market conditions.
