UPM Invests EUR 10 Million at Kymi Paper Mill

Aug. 17, 2007 - UPM said that it will begin an EUR 10 million modernization project towards the end of August at its Kymi paper mill in Finland.

The project includes upgrading PM 9, along with maintenance and other work related to the mill's ongoing recovery plant project.

The mill will be shutdown from August 20 - 24, UPM said

The construction of the new recovery plant involves the replacement of two outdated chemical recovery lines by one modern line. The new single-line recovery plant will go on stream by summer 2008.
