Jan. 25, 2007 - Pactiv has named Joseph E. Doyle, 47, as vice president, general counsel, and secretary of the company, effective February 1. He succeeds James V. Faulkner, Jr. who has retired.

Doyle has been a partner in the Corporate and Securities Practice at Mayer, Brown, Rowe & Maw LLP in Chicago. Prior to joining Mayer, Brown, Rowe & Maw LLP in 2001, he served as a partner at Jenner & Block LLP.

Doyle holds a law degree from the University of Minnesota and a bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois.
