Ilim's Bratsk Mill Production Increased thru Nov.

Dec. 12, 2006 - During the first eleven months of 2006, Bratsk Pulp and Containerboard Mill, a subsidiary of Ilim Pulp, produced 660.7 thousand tonnes of pulp and paper products, an increase of 20.7 thousand tonnes (3.2%) over the same period in 2005.

According to Ilim, commodity output was up 25.9 thousand tonnes (4.1%) from the level of the previous year totaling 659,000 tonnes. Market pulp output amounted to 451.2 thousand tonnes, up 3% year-on-year.

General pulping over the period exceeded 710 thousand tonnes, 22.7 thousand tonnes (3.3%) up year-on-year, Ilim said.

Specifically, bleached softwood pulp output was at 244.8 thousand tonnes, 0.6% up year-on-year. Bleached hardwood pulp output went up 3.3% amounting to 249.7 thousand tonnes. Containerboard output totaled 209.5 thousand tonnes, 11.7 thousand tonnes (5.9%) up as compared to the first eleven months of 2005.
