Dec. 6, 2006 - Eka Chemicals said that it will increase prices of all wet strength additives by 15% in Europe.

The company said steeply rising raw material costs forces the price increase.

"Due to continuous increases in the costs of raw materials for the production of wet strength additives, we now find we have to increase prices in order to compensate," said Lennart Nilsson, Director Sales & Marketing, Pulp and Paper Europe.

The new prices will be effective January 1, 2007, Eka said.
