American Israeli Paper Mills to Install New Machine in Israel

Nov. 20, 2006 - American Israeli Paper Mills Ltd. said that it will investment about $140 million in to install a new paper machine at its mill in Hadera, Israel.

The new machine will produce packaging grade paper and have a production capacity of about 230,000 tons per year.

The company said it will shut down one of two existing machines when the new machine starts-up in 2009.

American Israeli Paper Mills' packaging paper capacity will increase from approximately 150,000 tpy to nearly 330,000 tpy once the new machine comes on stream.

The company said it hasn't decided yet on the financing of the project and is reviewing different alternatives.
