Nov. 2, 2006 - Ahlstrom said that it will increase the prices of its papers for flexible packaging, labels, posters and for office & graphic applications, as of January 1, 2007.

The level of the increases was not disclosed, but the company said it would be in discussions with customers in the coming weeks and pricing would depend on the nature of the products, on existing contracts and invoicing currencies.

The coming price hikes are a result of continuing escalation of raw materials, energy and transportation costs, Ahlstrom added.
