Oct. 18, 2006 - M-real today announced that it has appointed Mikko Helander (M.Sc.), 46, as the new chief executive officer for the company, effective Oct. 18.

Prior to this appointment, Helander held the position of CEO for Metsä Tissue, part of Metsäliitto Group. Helander replaces Hannu Anttila, who has been appointed executive vice president, Strategy, for Metsäliitto Group.
