Oct. 10, 2006 - Metso Paper said that it will supply a complete tissue production line to Syktyvkar Tissue Group Ltd. in Russia.

The scope of delivery includes a complete tissue production line with stock preparation equipment and an Advantage DCT 100 tissue machine. The 2.7-meter-wide tissue machine has a design speed of 1,600 m/min and a daily production of 60-90 tons of tissue.

Metso did not disclose the exact value of Syktyvkar's order, but said a typical value would be in the range of EUR 10-15 million.

The new machine will be installed in Syktyvkar's mill in the republic of Komi. Start-up is scheduled for fall 2007.

Syktyvkar Tissue Group employs 230 people and currently produces 17,500 tons of tissue annually.
