Heinzel Group Starts-Up Market Pulp Mill in Europe

Sept. 13, 2006 - The Heinzel Group said that on September 8 it has officially "opened" its new market pulp mill in Northern Europe.

The new mill, located in Kunda, Estonia, is designed to produce 140,000 tons per year of BCTMP pulp, which will account for 20% of Heinzel's total pulp production.

The mill's primary markets are Western Europe and Scandinavia.

The mill was initially started up in April 2006 and has been running trials, which the company says have been successful.

The Heinzel Group trades pulp, paper and chemicals within the paper industry. The Group is one of the largest manufacturers of chemical and mechanical pulp in Central Europe.
