Tembec Workers in Pine Falls Ratify New Labor Pact
Sept. 7, 2006 - Workers at Tembec's newsprint mill in Pine Falls, Manitoba, have ratified a labor contract that ends "any possibility of a lengthy strike," the union said yesterday afternoon.
According to the United Steelworkers union, the new four-year agreement includes a wage increase and an improved long-term disability plan.
The previous labor agreement expired Aug. 31, 2005.
