Metso Paper to Supply New Tissue Machine to Georgia-Pacific
Aug. 28, 2006 - Metso Paper said that it has been selected to supply a new tissue machine to Georgia-Pacific Corp. The new machine will be installed at GP's Wauna, Oregon mill.
According to Metso, the new through-air-dried (TAD) machine will have a wire width of 204 inches and a design speed of 6,000 feet per minute.
The delivery will include a complete TAD tissue machine with an OptiFlo II TIS multilayering headbox with dilution control, Periformer LW-C former, Honeycomb® Through Air Drying, OptiReel, complete machine ventilation systems, stock preparation, and erection and startup services, Metso said.
