June 1, 2006 - BASF said that it will increase prices in the U.S. and Canada by three cents per wet pound for all of its paper coating additives, including Sterocoll and Latekoll thickeners, Calsan lubricants, Curesan insolubilizers, FoamBrake, Etingal, and Desan defoamers and Polysalt dispersants.

The revised pricing is efffective June 15, 2006 or as contracts allow, BASF said.

The company cited increased energy, raw material and transportation costs as the reason for the price increase.
