The Newark Group Increases Price for Recycled Paperboard

March 18, 2006 - The Newark Group's Paperboard Mill Division has informed customers that it will increase prices for all grades of recycled paperboard by $20-25 per ton.

The Newark Group said it is implementing a $20/ton increase for customers who are responsible for and pay their own freight, and a $25/ton hike for customers where freight is pre-paid.

These changes took place with shipments on or after March 13, 2006, the company said.

The Newark Group cited higher fuel, freight and energy costs as the factors contributing to the price increase.
