Södra Announces Pulp price Increase April 1
March 17, 2006 (Press Release) - Södra is raising the price of bleached long fibre sulphate pulp by $20 to $650 per tonne. The raise is effective from 1 April.
"The pulp market continues to strengthen. Deliveries are good, stocks are low and demand is generally looking good," says Ulf Edman, President of Södra Cell International.
"Despite the increased demand for paper, profitability is under pressure at many paper makers. This is the reason that the pulp price raise is only $20 per tonne, despite the strong market situation."
