Tiger Group Moves Forward on Pulp Mill Project in China

March 2, 2006 - Tiger Forest & Paper Group was recently granted approval to move ahead with plans for a 400,000 metric tons per year wood pulp mill and a 140,000 hectare timberland project in Huaihua, which is located in the southwestern region of Hunan province of China.

China's NDRC granted approval of the project to move into the engineering stage.

The total investment amounts to RMB4.35 billion (approx. US$540 million), in which RMB3.17 billion (approx. US$394 million) for the pulp mill and RMB1.18 billion (approx. US$146 million) for the timberland.

Tiger Forest & Paper expects production to begin by the end of 2007.
