Kemira Opens Technical Facility in Quebec

Feb. 7, 2006 - Kemira said that it has opened a technical facility at the Paprican site in Pointe Claire, Quebec along with a new equipment facility in Shawinigan, Quebec.

The technical center will allow for more rapid deployment of technology and quicker response to customers in North America, Kemira said.

“Kemira is investing selectively to bring greater value to our customers in the pulp and paper Industry here in North America," said Robin Brown, Business Manager.

"We recognize that continuous improvement of our customer's processes is directly related not only to the chemicals we sell, but the performance of our dosing and injection equipment as well as exceptional technical support. Our new technical and equipment centers give us the flexibility and speed to adapt rapidly to changes at our customer sites,” Brown added.

Kemira is a global supplier of products and services for pulp and paper making, water treatment, other industrial processes, and paints and coatings.
